The final days of summer are upon us and as the year flies by, it's easy to get swept up in the day-to-day. At SWAN, we do our best to strike a balance by taking time to connect outside of the office.

We recently had a summer party at The Lafayette Hotel in San Diego, a beautiful space where we took a time out to celebrate summer with our partners and children. Being reminded of how our work impacts so many of us and our families makes all the hard work that much more meaningful.

This month we spotlight one of the newest additions to our team, Florencia Sanchez. Supporting our team with outreach and awareness efforts has expanded our ability to best educate and serve our clients across the board and Flor has been a great driver in promoting what we're up to - meet her below.

Our cross-border team was recently recognized as one of the Top Agents of 2023 by Qualitas Insurance. We are especially proud of this distinction given our commitment to cross-border fleets and operators. Leading the team, Kevin Mealey recently shared our exclusive Occupational Accident program covering B1 drivers in the U.S. - details below.

SWAN Account Manager Michael Goldsmith and I are renewing our Transportation Risk Specialist (TRS) designation with the Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation (MCIEF), completing curriculum around all things trucking insurance, coverage, fraud and more.

In addition to holding a TRS designation, our Claims Manager Rafael Negron is completing MCIEF's newest Transportation Claims Specialist (TCS) program. Staying on top of the latest industry updates and regulations is part of the less-glamorous work that enables us to best help fleets grow with confidence.

Members of our team will also be attending MCIEF's Western Conference in Phoenix, AZ from October 15-18. If you are planning on attending, contact us and let's schedule time to meet there!

The U.S. labor market remains historically tight, particularly for industrial workers. The National Transportation Institute (NTI) 2024 Driver Market Forecast examined factors affecting driver supply and influencing driver wages.

Meet Florencia Sanchez
SWAN Digital Marketing
& Business Development

Please join us in welcoming Flor to the SWAN team! As a product manager and digital marketer by trade, she has been instrumental in evolving our products and client services while managing our social media communities and more.

Born in San Nicolas de los Arroyos, Buenos Aires province, Flor has been living in Rosario for the last 16 years. Having studied English all her life, she plans to complete her studies and one day become a translator.

While she is also a fashion designer, the role she enjoys most is being the cool auntie to her two nephews. A vegetarian and animal lover, she rescued a greyhound five years ago and named her Rachel (a big fan of the television show, Friends).

You'll always see two things in her hands: flowers and mate, the traditional South American caffeine-rich infused herbal drink ("I cannot live without my mate"). When she's not reading, running, cooking, sewing, or at a weekly pottery workshop ("I like and choose activities to disconnect my mind and rest from screens"), she spends time and occasionally travels with family and friends.
