Welcome, At S.W.A.N., our primary mission is to help fleet owners Sleep Well At Night. We have had a busy summer of events where we strive to deliver on our mission of providing value to fleet owners and build relationships with our tightly knit group of specialty insurance partners and their programs. For example, we recently met with our local San Diego insurance networking group to share experiences and expertise with colleagues in our business. In a similar vein, our Drayage Risk Manager Amy Luong has been participating in events produced by the Harbor Trucking Association in Long Beach. These gatherings are especially productive given the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles constitute the largest harbor in the United States. We recently met with EliteCover Insurance Solutions. As a certified Lloyd's Coverholder, they were able to share valuable information on arrangements wherein a company or partnership is authorized by a managing agent to enter into insurance contracts underwritten by the members of a syndicate. On a lighter note, our cross-border team recently attended an event hosted by Mexicali EDC, a regional economic development organization. A special highlight for us was a celebration at the event for Cross-Border Transportation Specialist Kevin Mealey. Another fun event was the BraunAbility workshop on wheelchair-accessible vehicles. For a taste of a totally different kind of transportation, an evening was dedicated to experiencing laps around the Indianapolis 500 track. The experience united mobility advocates from across the U.S. to advance accessible transportation for all, including S.W.A.N. Director of Transportation and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Lead Marc Crawford, who attended and spoke at the event. Most recently, we held our annual S.W.A.N. summer party last week. The team had a great time with our families for a fun day at the pool. We're thankful to be in a business where we have these kinds of wonderful interactions with clients, partners, colleagues and our team. It all makes for a powerful blend of service and capabilities. NEMT Fleet Roster Grows with Addition in Virginia Non-Emergency Medical Transportation fleet operators deliver vital services for people whose medical conditions make it difficult or impossible to travel using private or public options. Cross-Border Team Joins Mexicali Econ Dev Group In the world of cross-border transportation, our team has joined an organization called Mexicali EDC. It's the latest expansion of our efforts to build strong relationships with local economic development groups. Mexicali EDC is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 by the local government and business community. Its focus is on helping companies achieve design and manufacturing excellence in Mexicali as well as help attract, retain, and help grow industrial investment through a wide variety of services and seminars. We are proud to be part of this important effort by supporting cross-border carriers through smart, specialized risk management and insurance solutions. As always, our focus is on helping to protect equipment, cargo, and personnel along with strong compliance and liability expertise. Port of Los Angeles Sets Records Ahead of Tariffs In SoCal economic news with national importance, the Port of Los Angeles reported its busiest June ever. That landmark included the handling of 892,340 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEUs), marking an 8% increase in container traffic from the same month a year ago. Additional stats included a 10% improvement year-over-year in loaded imports as retailers start bringing in holiday merchandise well in advance. Loaded exports rose 3%. Empty containers rose 7% to 295,746 units as logistics providers seek to balance operations. Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka cited these trends as indicators that importers are adapting to potential shifts in trade policies by frontloading shipments amid an uncertain tariff environment.
