Welcome,
A quick heads-up for your calendar in August. We'll again be attending the annual NEMTAC Transform conference in Orlando, Florida, joining a unique group of providers, brokers, payers, regulators, technology partners and subject matter experts focused on advancing a safe, reliable and equitable NEMT industry.
If you're planning to attend, we invite you to mark your show floor map for booth #238 and visit us. We'll have something special happening at our booth as well so stay tuned.
In the cross-border world, our team had a great time at the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce's 35th Annual Golf Tournament. While we displayed solid skills on the course, the real win was spending quality time with friends and colleagues. Our thanks to the Chamber for hosting such a well-run event again this year.
The team also participated in an event facilitated by the Mexicali EDC, a non-profit organization helping companies achieve design and manufacturing excellence along the border.
In this issue, we cover three notable topics for fleets to consider. The first is the importance of a solid regulatory compliance system when it comes to insurance renewal. It's what the "R" stands for in our DRIVE program.
Another is an update on the challenges cross-border fleets are facing through increased revocations of B-1 driver visas by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency.
Last, but certainly not least, we outline the benefits of working with an insurance broker that has proven expertise in NEMT.
Until next month, we appreciate your being part of our S.W.A.N. community. We welcome your input on how we can support you as you grow your business. As always, we're here to help you Sleep Well At Night. Simply reply to this email or contact us online by clicking here.
Thank you,

R in DRIVE Initiative Helps
Ensure Fleet Compliance
This month, we continue to unpack the DRIVE acronym that describes this important initiative for our fleet customers. The overall goal of the program is to help you present your operation in the best light possible with insurance underwriters.
"R" shines a spotlight on Regulatory Compliance. It's an area that should be a top priority for every fleet and can build a strong competitive advantage. We'll help you stay on top of relevant rules and regulations that affect transportation network companies, non-emergency medical transport and cross-border trucking.
It's critical you're ready in advance so you're not scrambling when insurance audits arise. One way to do that is to build compliance into your monthly workflow. Insurance carriers place a high value on knowing you have the discipline in your operations to be prepared.
Designed to ensure you're organized when renewal time comes around, the DRIVE approach is a hands-on, monthly partnership you can rely on. The compounding financial benefits can be substantial - to the tune of $125,000 to $245,000 in total estimated annual operational impact!
We're happy to share more about the potential impact of this program for your fleet. Learn more at the link below and contact us when you're ready to discuss.

NEMT Insurance Specialist
Covers All the Bases
As an NEMT fleet, have you asked the question:
"What's our plan for
revenue beyond Medicaid?"
That's just one example of a significant issue that a specialist in NEMT insurance would think to raise. Generalists typically don't dig into a fleet's needs to that depth. Their goal is often simply to place policies and move on.
On the other hand, a specialist broker understands how your fleet operates, what contracts require, and how your insurance structure can either open doors to more business or quietly hold you back.
Our NEMT Risk Managers work consultatively with operators to:
• Align coverage to MCO and state contract compliance requirements
• Position your fleet to qualify for higher-value contracts
• Build toward scalable, sustainable growth (not just a policy renewal)
• Start a 24-month roadmap toward a captive insurance model for mature fleets
It's a true partnership with a fleet's long-term success top of mind. Connect with our NEMT team today to explore what's possible for you and your business.

B-1 Visa Revocations Can
Disrupt Fleet Operations
The world of cross-border transportation is facing a major challenge driven by more aggressive enforcement activities by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents.
U.S. authorities are actively revoking B-1 (business visitor) visas for Mexican truck drivers, particularly in the Arizona/California border regions. This is due to increased enforcement of illegal cabotage, which means transporting domestic U.S. cargo. Hundreds of visas have been revoked as of April 2026, stemming from strict federal enforcement targeting the misuse of visas.
B-1 drivers cannot pick up and deliver goods between two U.S. locations (cabotage). Drivers must only transport cargo that is "incidental to international traffic," meaning it is directly part of an international trip (e.g., bringing a load from Mexico to the U.S. and taking a new load back).
To help our cross-border fleet clients, we're working with a network of attorneys who can support fleets in proactively managing this situation. Our team has conferred with the president of CANACAR, a prominent Mexican freight transportation association. We're also looking to help form a U.S. association to address issues like this (more information to come).
Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can assist you in avoiding disruptions and maintaining smooth fleet operations.
