Cross-Border Growth Opportunities - Q1 2024
SWAN Cross-Border Update Welcome,

Cross-border logistics continues to gain attention as large manufacturing companies move their operations south of the border. Staying ahead of changes in insurance requirements will help keep your fleet, people and business protected.

From commercial auto to cargo and excess liability, many freight brokers are requiring you to carry an A-rated policy with $250,000 for cargo.

Beyond coverage types and limits to safety and compliance, fleets are under more scrutiny than ever. Staying ahead of trucking industry trends will ensure your client's loads are protected.

As experts in risk management, we're here to help you navigate these complexities and safeguard your business against unforeseen events, allowing you to leverage the opportunities that nearshoring presents.

To best serve you, we added Raúl Gámez to our cross-border team at SWAN. Based in Mexicali, Raúl is available for onsite yard visits - whether to help your company with safety and compliance or gather information to enhance your renewal.

Raúl is also fully-certified to administer DOT drug and alcohol tests on-site and at our Mexicali office, saving you and your team significant time and expense.

SWAN Account Manager Michael Goldsmith recently received his Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS) designation from the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI).

With his extensive experience around managing motor fleet safety programs, Michael can help you with driver hiring and retention, employee injury control and prevention, DOT/OSHA record keeping and carrying out more safety, policy and program directives.

Offering your company year-round value and hands-on assistance is our goal at SWAN. We've seen our clients spend less time delayed by inspections and claims and more time on the road earning, building a reputation for reliability and attracting more contracts.

Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with Raúl and explore how he can help you grow your business.

Schedule a Call

We will be at the Agrobaja San Quintin expo April 26-27. If you plan to attend, please visit us at Booth #21. You can also schedule a call or meeting with me by clicking here.

If you haven't heard the news, Qualitas is not renewing domestic trucking accounts with an MC number using B1 drivers. This means all domestic MC policies (not MCE or MX) will no longer receive a renewal for the 2024-2025 year.

Luckily, we have options for domestic operations using B1 drivers. At SWAN we are constantly working to stay ahead of changes like these so you can focus on growing your operation without disruption.

Should you have any questions around all things cross-border, benefit from a second opinion on your policy, or want to meet with us, simply reply to this email or call me.

Also visit the SWAN blog and check out past newsletters where we share news around port strikes, surge contract opportunities and more that could help your business.

Sincerely,
Kevin Mealey
